"SDE2" - Replication stress response regulator SDE2 in Homo sapiens
Nodes:
Network nodes represent proteins
splice isoforms or post-translational modifications are collapsed, i.e. each node represents all the proteins produced by a single, protein-coding gene locus.
Node Color
colored nodes:
query proteins and first shell of interactors
white nodes:
second shell of interactors
Node Content
empty nodes:
proteins of unknown 3D structure
filled nodes:
some 3D structure is known or predicted
Edges:
Edges represent protein-protein associations
associations are meant to be specific and meaningful, i.e. proteins jointly contribute to a shared function; this does not necessarily mean they are physically binding each other.
Known Interactions
from curated databases
experimentally determined
Predicted Interactions
gene neighborhood
gene fusions
gene co-occurrence
Others
textmining
co-expression
protein homology

SDE2Replication stress response regulator SDE2; Involved in both DNA replication and cell cycle control. Unprocessed SDE2 interacts with PCNA via its PIP-box. The interaction with PCNA prevents monoubiquitination of the latter thereby inhibiting translesion DNA synthesis. The binding of SDE2 to PCNA also leads to processing of SDE2 by an unidentified deubiquinating enzyme, cleaving off the N-terminal ubiquitin-like domain. The resulting mature SDE2 is degraded by the DCX(DTL) complex in a cell cycle- and DNA damage dependent manner. Binding of SDE2 to PCNA is necessary to counteract damage [...] (451 aa)
Predicted Functional Partners:
PRPF19
Pre-mRNA-processing factor 19; Ubiquitin-protein ligase which is a core component of several complexes mainly involved pre-mRNA splicing and DNA repair. Core component of the PRP19C/Prp19 complex/NTC/Nineteen complex which is part of the spliceosome and participates in its assembly, its remodeling and is required for its activity. During assembly of the spliceosome, mediates ’Lys-63’-linked polyubiquitination of the U4 spliceosomal protein PRPF3. Ubiquitination of PRPF3 allows its recognition by the U5 component PRPF8 and stabilizes the U4/U5/U6 tri-snRNP spliceosomal complex. Recruite [...] (504 aa)

  0.749
SLC2A13
Proton myo-inositol cotransporter; H(+)-myo-inositol cotransporter. Can also transport related stereoisomers; Belongs to the major facilitator superfamily. Sugar transporter (TC 2.A.1.1) family (648 aa)

      0.731
GNL3L
Guanine nucleotide-binding protein-like 3-like protein; Stabilizes TERF1 telomeric association by preventing TERF1 recruitment by PML. Stabilizes TERF1 protein by preventing its ubiquitination and hence proteasomal degradation. Does so by interfering with TERF1-binding to FBXO4 E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase. Required for cell proliferation. By stabilizing TRF1 protein during mitosis, promotes metaphase-to-anaphase transition. Stabilizes MDM2 protein by preventing its ubiquitination, and hence proteasomal degradation. By acting on MDM2, may affect TP53 activity. Required for normal proces [...] (582 aa)

RFC3
Replication factor C subunit 3; The elongation of primed DNA templates by DNA polymerase delta and epsilon requires the action of the accessory proteins proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) and activator 1; AAA ATPases (356 aa)

  0.640
OR1M1
Olfactory receptor 1M1; Odorant receptor; Olfactory receptors, family 1 (313 aa)

  0.630
DNHD1
Dynein heavy chain domain 1 (4753 aa)

  0.605
DCLRE1A
DNA cross-link repair 1A protein; May be required for DNA interstrand cross-link repair. Also required for checkpoint mediated cell cycle arrest in early prophase in response to mitotic spindle poisons (1040 aa)

  0.571
CCT4
T-complex protein 1 subunit delta; Molecular chaperone; assists the folding of proteins upon ATP hydrolysis. As part of the BBS/CCT complex may play a role in the assembly of BBSome, a complex involved in ciliogenesis regulating transports vesicles to the cilia. Known to play a role, in vitro, in the folding of actin and tubulin; Chaperonins (539 aa)

  0.542
MLH3
DNA mismatch repair protein Mlh3; Probably involved in the repair of mismatches in DNA; MutL homologs (1453 aa)

  0.530
